Jubilee Garden of Radical Mission

The Jubilee Garden is a community garden to provide a place to meet and build relationships while growing and gathering food.
Goals of the Jubilee Garden
  • To encourage the community to pick their food thereby giving them back some ownership over it.
  • To spark the community’s interest in growing their own food and eating healthier.
  • To provide a moment of time for the volunteers to communicate with the neighbors, pray with them, encourage them, teach them, and maybe even get them involved.
  • To provide volunteers to build relationships with each other, journeying together with burdens and joys while giving back to the community.
How You Can Help
As a Master Gardener you can volunteer with your time, helping build raised beds, filling them up with dirt, planting vegetables, weeding, and helping with the general upkeep of the garden. In exchange you will get to practice gardening skills and harvest produce from the garden, while building relationships.

Additional Ways to Contribute
In additional to donating time, there are other ways you and anybody in the community can help:
  • Donate a community board
  • Donate a compost bin
  • Donate a truck load of top soil
  • Sponsor a whole raised bed monetarily
  • Donate money for plants and tools (new compost bin, hand shovels, garden rakes, etc…)
  • Adopt a raised bed to maintain throughout the season

If you are interested in Adopting a Bed these are the guidelines:
  • Maintain the bed by weeding and pruning. Non-organic weed prevention and fertilizer is discouraged.
  • You are encouraged to volunteer at least one Tuesday or Thursday to experience serving the community from the garden.
  • You are encouraged to attend once a month community a “Grillin at the Garden” gathering. We will grill out, discuss the latest in the garden, and work together in the garden.
  • You are encouraged to attend once or twice a week to maintain your bed as a community. At your discretion according to what works for your schedule.
  • Above all else love, learn, and grow!
